Courtauld Gallery Exhibition Opening
Following on from our joint art project in 2019, today Post-19 staff and students went along to The Courtauld Institute of Art at Somerset House. The artwork that was created by our learners, with help from Courtauld volunteers, is currently on display in the Conway Library – it was from these archives that the materials for the artwork were selected.
The collages were made using black and white photographs from the gallery’s extensive collection before learners added their own flair with colourful additions.
The pieces are being displayed for the next few months on the staircase to the library. The library is open to the public from 1-5pm, so head along to see the artwork and the inspiration behind it.
